NATURAL HOUSE IN HAŻLACH:

The former granary building has been adapted to the area adjacent to the former agricultural district and reconstructed for recreational and recreational purposes and to enhance the natural, historical and cultural heritage. The investment was intended to increase the attractiveness of the Hażlach Commune to tourists. The task, the first phase of planned changes, was carried out as a result of the project “Wandering through the Olzy Valley / Toulky údolím Olše”, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Interreg VA Czech Republic-Poland programme, where the Těsinska Museum was in eský Těšín Partner of the Hażlach Commune. The reconstruction was preceded by the demolition of the facilities in the former agricultural district. The body of the Silo Building, which currently houses galleries on the first floor and mezzanine, using, among other things, the forms of multimodal communication have remained unchanged. However, elevation adjustments have been made (new window openings and entrance door on the ground floor). The development of the district consisted in the construction of a new technical infrastructure with small architectural elements. In the central part there is an entrance yard, which is also used as a recreation and relaxation room with seating. In the northwest corner, a sensory garden has been created connected to a miniature garden presenting objects found in the transboundary tourist loop. On the west side of the granary, a square has been created that connects the car park to the miniature garden. It serves as a summer stage and venue for outdoor events. A bicycle shelter was also created, which made it possible to offer a bicycle rental system to people wishing to take advantage of this type of tourism.

Adaptation of the former granary into the home of naturalists along with the development of the area has greatly improved the picture and increased the tourist attraction not only of Hażlach, but also of the entire Hażlach commune. A new and interesting tourist product has been created, combining the architectural heritage of the former granary with the natural wealth of Cieszyn Silesia. The building and the entire area are adapted to the needs of people with disabilities. Vertical connection in Dom Przyrodnik is provided by a passenger elevator, also adapted for the disabled. In the second phase of the investment, a stadium will be built near Dom Przyrodnika, and a pumptrack bike path with poles and curves will be built. There will be a playground with a safe surface next to the entrance yard to stimulate the physical and intellectual development of children of all ages.

Environmental Education Center in Vista

The construction of the Environmental Education Center in Wisła was the most important part of the project entitled “Construction of an educational and environmental complex in Wisła Municipality”, which received support within the framework of the Regional Operational Program of the Silesian Province for the period 2014-2020. The essence of the project was to take a comprehensive approach to the protection of biodiversity in Silesia Beskids and to establish a center whose activities would focus on the promotion of environmental protection, nature protection and related environmental education. The Environmental Education Center building itself is surrounded by gardens, which also have an educational function, being a place where you can enjoy indigenous species of plants. The park also provides an excellent space for family relaxation, with many attractions for the little ones (including a playground, stone maze, trampoline and educational games). In the same building there is a large exhibition hall for visitors, the arrangement of which is based on a model of a river divided into two parts – rivers with an urban landscape, regular, the elements of which depict the landscapes demanded by man, and rivers with a mountainous landscape, irregular, representing a wild landscape, without human intervention. The gallery itself is additionally divided into four areas associated with the seasons. The Environmental Education Center in Wisła is open to visitors from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 16:00. On the other hand, the gardens around the building are constantly available, and the atmospheric lighting of the alleys allows walking in the evening as well.
