Great Britain’s exit from the European Union is a problem for many entrepreneurs. And also motorcyclists who order engines from British car tuners, and above all parts distributors. Due to customs clearance, it is shipped with delay.

Brexit means that from 1 January 2021, the free movement of goods, services and people between the United Kingdom and the European Union member states has been completed. This is linked to new customs procedures. Thus, the time to send parcels on the route to Great Britain and Poland is longer, as each parcel must go through a customs office clearance procedure. This makes life difficult, for example, for highway part distributors, and thus for the tuners and passengers themselves.

I confirm that there are currently problems with the delivery of spare parts from Great Britain. Hopefully this will be resolved soon. This generally applies to the entire highway environment, and even to everyone bringing in freight from Great Britain. This, of course, is related to Brexit. The customs clearance process itself takes longer. Because of this, there were long delays. Thankfully, we still have some time until the start of the season and I think everything will end positively – says Raphael Luikki, Speed Products’ distributor.
