A wave of criticism went to White House medical advisor Anthony Fauci. Thousands of emails written during the pandemic have been exposed. They showed that the doctor was publicly denying the theory that the virus had leaked from the Chinese laboratory. He did this despite the fact that he had research that could prove the thesis about the emergence of the virus in the laboratory.
Republican politicians, led by Rand Paul, a major critic of Fauci, focused on news regarding the origin of SARS-CoV-2.
‘Potential engineering effect’
On January 31, 2020, virologist Christian Andersen wrote to Fauci that some parts of the virus were “probably the result of human engineering” and that the viral genome was “not as expected from an evolutionary viewpoint.”
Soon, Fauci replied, “Thank you Christian. We’ll be on the phone soon.”

Over the months, the “chief virologist in America” has publicly advocated a theory of the animal’s origin of the virus.
“If we look at the evolution of the virus in bats, the scientific evidence strongly suggests that SARS-CoV-2 cannot be formed artificially,” Fauci said.
