In other pairs, on Tuesday, the reveal will play Slovenia against Germany, Australia against Argentina and France against Italy.
Results after the first stage and draw determined pairs mating in 1/4 of the finals – teams that competed in groups were unable to meet in the quarter-finals.

With complete victories, Slovenia (Group C), Australia (Group B) and France (Group A) qualified for the quarter-finals. The Americans and Spaniards finished second in their group with a similar balance 2-1. The two best teams from the three groups and two third-place teams with the best balance qualified to the quarter-finals.
“If your goal is gold, you have to beat every opponent,” said Spanish midfielder Marc Gasol.
For his older brother, Pau Gasol, 41, a two-time NBA champion (2009 and 2010 with the Los Angeles Lakers), the Tokyo tournament is the national team’s last appearance.
American basketball players beat the Spaniards in the semi-finals in Rio de Janeiro 82:76 (the Spaniards won the bronze), in the final in Beijing 118: 107, and in the Olympic championship game in London 107:100.
