Kajetanowicz and Szczepaniak started the day from the fourth time in their class on the SS1 Vilaplana 1 (20.00 km), the following day (SS2 La Granadella 1, 21.80 km) took second place, just half a second ahead of Spaniards Lopez and Rosada. The third stretch of Rba – Roja 1 (14.21 km) is already a victory for the Poles, who also defeated most of the factory crews. They occupy second place in the afternoon loop, 5.1 seconds behind Finland’s Lindholm and Hamalainen.

– The first successful episode is behind us, we’re starting to spin. We have a good rhythm, we won the last stage. We have another round of the same stages. I think there’s going to be a lot of sand thrown in by the road, and that can make things really interesting in some places. Factory teams that can use spy kits will certainly have an advantage, but we’re racing in our class and we’re going to do our best to go as fast as we can — says LOTOS Rally Team representative Kajitan Kajitanovic.
The afternoon session of the Friday stage of Rally Spain will be the same as the morning session. It will consist of three special stages: Villaplana (20 km long, start at 15:00), La Granadilla (21.80 km, 16:38) and Ruba Ruja (14.21 km, 17:59).
Kajetan Kajetanowicz’s beginnings are backed by the strategic partner of the LOTOS Rally team – Grupa LOTOS, as well as Delphi Technologies, Pirelli, SJS Driving Experience and Grupa Sikora.
