According to the rules, when the score is 3: 0 for one of the teams, the fourth singles match is not played, but doubles are played immediately. Biało-Czerwony secured his promotion to the final tournament after just three matches, so there were double players at Radom Sports Center (the so-called dead rubber, which is no longer important to the final score).

Captain David Sylt has not decided to reshuffle and has named duo Magdalena Frosch and Alija Rossolska to play. Captain Horia Tecao left Andrea Mito but her partner was Mihaela Buzarnescu, who replaced Andrea Brisacario. The Polish national team won the doubles 5:7, 6:3, 10-5.

The Romanians fought for an honorary point in clashing with the Polish women. The home team got their first break point, but they couldn’t break Buzarnescu’s pass. The premiere was won by Romania, who took over the service of Rosolska. Our representatives responded immediately and after 10 matches it was a draw. Then the opponents tried to get another break with Rosolska’s pass, and after changing sides of Mitu, she won 7: 5 in the first release.

Polish women started the second group carefully. They scored a break in Buzarnescu, but their rivals immediately hit back. In the eighth match, Piao Zeroni scored a break with Mito’s management. Fręch was not surprised with her own serve and our tennis players won by 6:3 in the second part of the game.

Since there was a tie after two sets, the deciding set was super play in breaking the tie to 10 points. In this match, Piao Zeroni quickly moved to 4-1, but the opponents started the chase and led to a draw 5. Then Rosolska showed the class, sending first a great backhand on the line, and then a shot. Smashing the winner, Fręch, gave the Poles four match balls. The excellent service of an experienced Warsaw lady ended the whole meeting.

Therefore, Poland beat Romania 4-0 and secured the rise to the final tournament of the Billie Jean King Cup. 12 teams will participate. The exact date and location of the competition are not yet known.
