Sports facilities were closed in March, when the UK imposed restrictions amid the coronavirus pandemic.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson delivered a speech on Sunday to outline a “roadmap” to ease restrictions imposed by the pandemic while maintaining social distancing.

People can “play sports, but only with their family,” Johnson said.

Tennis and golf courses are open in England from Wednesday.

Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland can take their own stands on the courses and golf courses. It is possible – according to the previous announcements of the local administrations – that they will maintain the strict version of the siege.

Gyms and swimming pools will remain closed, but swimming in open waters such as the sea or lakes will be permitted.

Prime Minister Johnson has not issued instructions when professional sports, including Premier League matches, could resume.
