In the northeast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern On the other hand, around Ökermonde, about ten centimeters of fresh snow, the winter service was running. Most of the weather-related incidents were minor. Police called on drivers to switch from summer tires to winter tires now at the latest.

“As far as we can see in the future, at the end of next week the temperature level will drop to about ten degrees in the greater Hamburg area,” said Josef Kantuser, a meteorologist at DWD. Rain is expected again and again over the next week, but that won’t make up for the many dry spells this year, according to the meteorologist.
