Several major UK stores have issued product recalls for a wide variety of products.
Sainsbury’s, Aldi, Tesco, Lidl, Waitrose and Iceland have advised all shoppers not to take any of the affected items.
Rusk chicken, fish, chocolate and cheese are among some of the items that have been called up.

Twix ice cream bars
Iceland calls Twix Barres Glacées (Twix Ice-Cream Bars) because it contains milk, wheat (gluten) and soybeans that aren’t mentioned in English on the label.
May contain almonds, hazelnuts (nuts), and peanuts.
This means that the product presents a potential health risk for anyone allergic to almonds, hazelnuts, nuts, peanuts and / or soybeans, and / or allergies or intolerances to wheat, gluten, milk, or milk ingredients.
A spokesperson said: “All customers who have purchased this product with the above date code should not consume it.

Sainsbury’s remembers frozen by cooked Sainsbury’s mussels because salmonella was found in some of the products in this group.
A spokesperson said: “We have been brought to the attention that there may be a small amount of cooked mussels from Sainsbury’s 300 grams (frozen), with the best date before 09/08/2021 that may be contaminated with salmonella.”
Any other date codes are not affected.
