As vaccination progresses, lockdowns across Europe are easing step by step. Many countries have decided to ease existing health restrictions. Many of them have already given benefits to people who have been vaccinated and convalescent – including. Only they can use places like swimming pools, cinemas, and theaters.

Privileges of vaccination Convalescence cases in several countries have become real or planned to be introduced. Let us remind you that although discussion on this topic is also taking place in Poland, our government has not yet decided to take such a step.

According to current reports, all decisions in this regard are pending at the present time. The aim is to avoid accusations of unequal treatment of citizens.

In Hungary, cinemas, theaters, museums, swimming pools, hotels, gyms, zoos and libraries have been in operation since May 1. Restaurants and cafes can also operate indoors. However, all these places can only be used by vaccinated or diverted people – entry is guaranteed with a card issued by the authorities confirming receipt of the vaccine or recovery.

The curfew has also been shortened. Previously, it used to start at 23.00, now starts at 24.00 and ends at 5.00 in the morning. Shops may be open until 23.00.

The French authorities have withdrawn travel restrictions between individual departments. There is still a curfew in the country that starts at 7:00 PM and ends at 6:00 AM.

The country is also subject to a legislative procedure aimed at introducing so-called health passports. These documents aim to guarantee the opportunity to participate in sporting and cultural events attended by more than 1,000 people. A vaccination certificate, recovery certificate, or negative COVID-19 test can be accepted. In the end, people with such a passport can use shops, restaurants and cafes.

The German government made a firm decision about the privileges granted to vaccinators. Citizens who have received the vaccine or have antibodies due to COVID-19 travel will be able to access all kinds of stores, service outlets and museums without showing the result of the coronavirus test.

People recovering and vaccinated do not have to observe curfews and quarantines after returning from abroad. They are also not subject to restrictions during meetings with people who have not yet received the vaccine. This solution is especially important for areas with high daily increases in SARS-CoV-2 infections.

Austria has also chosen similar solutions. From May 19, gastronomy, hotels and cultural institutions will resume operations there. In restaurants, cafes and bars, there will be restrictions on people outside and inside the building.

In return, up to 3,000 people will be able to participate in cultural and outdoor sporting events. In closed space, this limit is 1.5 thousand.

Europe is opening up slowly, as the COVID-19 vaccination campaign progresses and as the epidemic rates decline. Among the countries that have significantly reduced the restrictions in effect, there are also, among others, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, Spain, Belgium and England.
