Today, on June 8, the World Cup for Global Excel will take place and no, it’s not a joke. Competitors will build financial models using this software. It’s called competition World Cup of Financial Modeling and representatives of eight countries will compete against each other.
The tournament will be attended by Britain, Canada, the United States, Australia, South Africa, India, Malaysia and Poland. Our country will be represented by a Director at PwC Polska (Accounting and Auditing), Gabriela Strój.
Building a financial model will not be easy. You will have to forecast future financial results based on the company’s activities using complex functions and rules. The Excel tournament may look funny, but the competition will definitely be fierce. The winner will receive a prize of $5,000!
Competitors will have 40 minutes to complete the task prepared by the tournament organizers. The person who offers the best solution will win. Microsoft is sponsoring the tournament and you will receive dedicated hosts who will also act as commentators.
The Excel Contest has been scheduled for June 8th. It will start at 1:00 PM and will be available for viewing in this place.
