Almost 54 million zlotys – this is the amount of a modern nursing home, which will be built on ul. Chmielowica in Opole. Today (June 14) an agreement was signed with the contractor to implement the investment. The building will be equipped with, inter alia, doctors’ offices, occupational therapy rooms and integration space.
– It will be a modern, functional home for about 100 residents – reports Małgorzata Stelnicka, Deputy Mayor of Opole.
There will be doctors’ offices on the ground floor. There will also be a social area, i.e. a canteen and a kitchen with support facilities. In addition, there will be occupational therapy rooms and specialized rooms for employees.
Przemysław Zych, Deputy Mayor of Opole, stresses that the space in the DPS building was designed primarily with the comfort of the elderly in mind.
– We have tried to eliminate those things that so far bother the residents, as well as to create a place where the stay is pleasant. It seems to me that this great feature is that approximately 80% of the rooms in the new nursing home will be single rooms.
The new nursing home in Opole will be ready for living in the fall of 2024. Let’s add that 30 million PLN were received for the implementation of this investment from the Strategic Investments Program. The remaining amount comes from the budget of the city of Opole.
