TBS in Szczecin has announced a tender for the construction and equipping of Mediatheque in Prawobrzeże. It will include, among others: book rental, reading room, multimedia room and exhibition space.
– This is the first facility of this kind in Szczecin planned from scratch – from an architectural competition to construction. Mediateka, which will be built in the ul. Iwaszkiewicz and Dąbrowska and will certainly serve many residents of the neighboring estates – confirms Dariusz Sadowski of the city council.
The design of the facility was selected in an architectural competition organized in 2018. Its authors are Szczecin Architects Carol Parks and Camilla Pukzkowska. The Mediateka building is planned as a modern facility that goes beyond the traditional library layout. It will combine several functions, including: multimedia, entertainment, the local center of culture and activity of the population.
