Unreal Engine representatives were surprised to discover the Matrix Awakens. The technology demo is now available for download on PS5 and XSX | S.
On December 2, unexpectedly, to the PlayStation base Files have been uploaded from the mysterious Matrix Awakens. No one really knows what the anonymous developers were preparing or what experience said production would offer. Today, Unreal Engine representatives spoke on Twitter:
How do we know what is real?
Download “The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience” for PS5 and XSX | S for a glimpse into the future of interactive storytelling and entertainment thanks to the UE5 graphics engine.
In addition to revealing that it is a tech demo, a 15-second trailer has also been posted on the web, featuring Keanu Reeves – the lead actor well known to fans of the Matrix universe. Detailed images – taken from this trailer – uploaded by user Nibel show just how many possibilities UE5 offers.
The tech demo can now be downloaded on PS5 and XSX | S (it weighs about 25 GB), but it will be possible to turn it on only on December 10. More information will be revealed during the upcoming Game Awards.
