The Martin Lewis Money Show Live ran on Thursday evening, hosted by Martin and co-presenter Angelica Biel. During the presentation, the financial journalist shared his choice of the latest financial news with ITV viewers during the “News You Can Use” section.

The Virgin Wines offer is available to all new Virgin Money checking account customers.

To receive the incentive, they will need to apply online and complete the full switch using the Current Account Switch Service.

The rules state that this includes two direct debits set up on the account, downloading and registering for the mobile app, and depositing at least £ 1,000 into an associated savings account within 31 days of opening the account.

Martin went on to explain that this special checking account currently offers a “good” interest rate – 2.02 per cent on balances up to £ 1,000.

He said, “Now this account pays you 2% interest of up to £ 1,000.”

“Good price – but only small amount. You don’t need to switch to get that.”

He went on to share details about the wine show.

The bank said existing customers also have access to an offer for a discounted Virgin Wines case worth £ 180.
