Thinking about the youth, their interests, needs and aspirations in the Mujahideen building. The Peowiaków meeting place in Lublin will be planned for them. The restaurant is professionally designed and comfortably furnished. A preliminary project has already been prepared, prepared by Ikea specialists. There have also been consultations on this topic with young residents, and the comments and suggestions collected in them will be used to develop the final concept.

The whole was created as part of the events prepared to mark Lublin being named European Youth Capital 2023. Today, President Krzysztof Duque, along with representatives of the IKEA store, announced that they have established a collaboration in this field.

It is already known that the building will be divided into several zones to provide different functions to its users. There will be part office, large workshop space, small meeting room and social area with kitchen. The workshop room will host larger training sessions or concerts, as well as smaller group meetings. In addition, there is a separate place for small meetings, talking with a psychologist, or for quiet work in silence.

I am pleased that in the idea of building a youth-friendly city and meeting their expectations, we have a partner in the form of Ikea, an entity whose corporate philosophy is a global icon. Our partner advertises team support in both the operational and content related areas. Each of us brings more value to our experience, and IKEA’s commitment to creating a youth friendly space is extremely valuable. This place is to fulfill a number of key tasks in the field of involving young people in activities for their city, as well as the city for youth development – says Krzysztof Ock, Mayor of Lublin.
