Kubota continues to expand its production capacity in the USA. It will build a new manufacturing facility in Gainesville (Georgia), where it already has a strong presence thanks to its existing facilities.
Kubota plans to expand production capacity in the USA
Due to the rapid growth of tractor demand in North America, the need to expand production capacity of tractors and construction equipment accessories to support dealers has become an urgent issue for Kubota. Although Kubota Industrial Equipment (KIE) already manufactures tools, the demand in North America is so great that the company decided to increase its production capacity by building a new plant.
As a result, new and existing plants will meet the massive demand in North America, increasing annual production capacity for tools and accessories from 100,000 tons. Up to 210 thousand pieces. This is a great opportunity for Kubota, as more than 90% of new tractors sold in North America are equipped with front loaders and other tools.
“This is an exciting period of unprecedented growth for our company as this upcoming investment comes after the grand opening of our new R&D facility in Gainesville,” said Shingo Hanada, President and CEO of Kubota Tractor Corporation and Kubota North America.
The project, which will start this year, is expected to be operational in 2021, creating more than 500 industrial jobs.
