The advice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy currently states:
“Entry to Italy from the United Kingdom is permitted. You no longer have to justify your reason for traveling.”
Do I need to wear a mask?
Yes, the use of masks remains mandatory in closed public places, including shops and public transportation. Masks should also be worn in all outdoors between 6 pm and 6 am, and at all times in Rome and other regions across the country. You should pay close attention to signs and carry a mask with you at all times.
Which airlines have resumed flights?
Alitalia, EasyJet, Wizz Air, Ryanair and British Airways have all resumed their flights to Italy.
Is something still locked?
Most companies have been allowed to reopen in Italy, including theaters, cinemas, concert halls, bars, museums, galleries and open spaces. However, large-scale gatherings are still not allowed, and all reopened businesses must adhere to social distancing rules, which means some have chosen not to open their doors yet.
