The premiere of the 12th generation of processors is approaching Blue, that is, the Intel Alder Lake family. As befits Americans, of course, new motherboards with an LGA 1700 socket and a 600 chipset will be required. Like the DDR5 RAM modules. However, the latter seems at least doubtful. The best models of Z690 motherboards appeared in stores, which include the older and well-known DDR4 RAM in the specs.

Unlocked Intel Alder Lake top-of-the-line processors and custom motherboards are expected on November 19.

The Japanese, already known to us, in the form of momomo_us, once again looked for product labels before the premiere in Australian stores. This time around, it’s being applied to GIGABYTE’s top-of-the-line motherboards, which are based on Intel Z690 systems and built with upcoming Intel Alder Lake processors in mind. We are talking about the AORUS Master and AORUS Elite AX models, which were valued at AU$768 and AU$438 (tax included), which equates to about PLN 2179 and PLN 1239. However, remember that Australia has its own high ingredient prices. For comparison, a higher-end, but current-gen model on the Z590 chipset, costs in the same store A$745, or about PLN 2115.

Interestingly, both new motherboards are signed LGA 1200 and DDR4. In other words, he is either talking about “filler product cards” with specifications copied from the current generation that will be updated over time, or human error. The question is whether the error is only the socket, or the type of memory supported as well? After all, the Intel Alder Lake modules will be equipped with DDR5 4800 MHz and DDR4 3200 MHz controllers. And given that the new standard will be on the way and poorly available Intel partners can decide to offer for sale models adapted to units already available in stores, other platforms for DDR5 will appear on sale later. This will allow GIGABYTE to sell a lot of CDs for the premiere and after.
