Do not worry – it is not difficult and everyone should be able to handle it without any problems. All you have to do is follow the tips we have prepared for you. You will learn everything below. We are calling!
You can view computer parameters in several ways. We have two methods that are, in our opinion, the best ones for you.
The first only gives you access to fairly basic information, but it doesn’t require you to install anything on the device. The second allows you to learn a lot, but involves downloading a free and secure third-party program.
First, we will discuss a method that does not require external software. So how do you check the parameters of your computer? All you have to do is follow the steps below:
- Press the Windows key and then the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Type “System Information” (without the quotes) and hit Enter.
In the window that opens, you will first see a summary of the most important information about your computer. Among other things, data on the processor, motherboard and RAM. On the left, there are also many other categories that you can go to to find out more.
For example, by clicking on the plus icon next to “Components” (if this section is not expanded yet), then on the “Display” option below, you will see information about your graphics card on the right.
How to check computer components to find out more details? Many programs offer this option, for example CPU-Z. All you have to do is follow these instructions:
- Download CPU-Z from the official website.
- Install and run the program.
- Navigate between the tabs to find the information you are looking for (for example, in the SPD tab you will learn a lot about RAM).
Of course, CPU-Z is not the only program of this type. You can also use other programs, which we just mentioned as an example, since they are free, popular and provide a lot of information about the computer.
We hope that we have sufficiently answered the question of how to check computer parameters and that you found any of the above methods useful. The information about the components we have is important, for example when we want to buy better components and wonder if they will be compatible with those in the components, which we are not yet replacing.
