Despite the outbreak of the Delta Coronavirus across the UK, the promoters of the Formula 1 race in Silverstone have been approved to fill the stands almost 100%. This means that every day the facility will have about 140 thousand. fans. Many will keep their fingers crossed for Lewis Hamilton.
This year’s British Grand Prix is supposed to be an experience of sorts. Boris Johnson’s government has entered the F1 race on a list of events expected to answer whether mass events are contributing to the spread of COVID-19. Meanwhile, organizers of the upcoming F1 Tour are dreaming of an extra race at Silverstone.
– If we can help by organizing an additional race in the second stage of the season, we would be happy to do so. Formula 1 is commendable because it held 17 rounds in the midst of a pandemic a year ago. I hope this time we can fill in the calendar correctly again – Stuart Pringle, president of Silverstone, told the Palestinian News Agency.
A second F1 race at Silverstone could appear on the calendar in the fall, as much of the Grand Prix is in question during this period. It is doubtful that the queen of motorsports will compete this year in countries such as Japan, Mexico and Brazil. The Australian Grand Prix was recently canceled.
To enter this year’s UK Grand Prix, fans must either test negative for COVID-19 or complete a coronavirus vaccination.
