Author of numerous platinum albums, award-winning titles from around the world, Florence + The Machine will perform the new song “Call me Cruella” specially composed for the latest Disney Croell movie. The film will be available in cinemas from May 29.
Florence says of working on the song “Call me Cruella”:
One of the first songs I learned to sing was Disney songs. And it was often the film’s opponents who had the best numbers. Therefore, it was a childhood dream to collaborate on composing and performing a song for “Cruella”. I’m so grateful to Nicholas Brittel and Disney for great artistic freedom and to my credit for Cruella’s pretty crazy.

Brittel commented on the song and the music for her film as follows:
I am a big fan of Florence, so it was a pleasure working with her. With this song and “Cruella” in general, we wanted to capture the aesthetics of raw rock music in London in the 1960s and 1970s. We recorded everything on analog tape using old equipment at Abbey Road and AIR Studios in London, where we combined orchestral parts with electric guitars, basses, organs, keyboards and drums.
