According to fishermen, the UK is preventing them from accessing its fishing area, despite the Brexit agreement. In response to the British maneuvers, France sent two patrol boats to Jersey.
For several hours, the units of the two fleets stayed at a distance of 20 kilometers.
“With the situation now resolved, the Royal Navy coastal patrol ships are returning to a UK port,” Prime Minister Boris Johnson said.
“The show of strength is over. Now the politicians have to take the initiative” – Said Dimitri Rogoff, president of the Normandy French Hunting Association.
