Gearbox Software has released a new update for Borderlands 3 that brings cross-platform gameplay, but that fun isn’t available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. PlayStation players can’t shoot with fans of the series from other platforms.
In May, the creators of Borderlands 3 confirmed that they’ve heard from the community and آراء Production will get cross-play. The developers announced last month that owners of PlayStation consoles will not be included in the game, and unfortunately nothing has changed on this topic.
Borderlands 3 now offers cross-play on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Stadia, so there will be plenty of people willing to play on the servers. PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players are not invited to play.
The situation is still changing because Jim Ryan (President of PlayStation) said so in recent days Sony wants more games with cross-play. The problem in this case is the contract that the manufacturer signs with publishers who have to pay for “community participation” – only Sony requires money in this case. If the Japanese change their minds, other publishers will probably be happy to join PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 players.
