The Katowice authorities and 7 public universities operating in this city announced the concept of establishing a Network Science Center during the city’s Global City Forum. The first shovel will be paid for its construction in 2024.

– It will be a scientific path, every visitor or resident will be able to see what is happening at the university, what scientists are doing – Katowice Mayor Marcin Krupa says.

– The idea is simple – we want to connect the universities of which we have seven in the city center into one large project available to the visitor – says Valdemar Bogaron, Deputy Mayor of Katowice.

Contrary to what we know from the Copernicus Science Center in Warsaw, in the Network Science Center we will not only be able to touch the exhibits, but also see the work of scientists and their “live” achievements and conduct experiments in a real laboratory.
