FIFA 22 with cross play. EA confirms expected function tests

FIFA is the next Electronic Arts series to receive cross-play. The developers announced the upcoming tests of this feature, thanks to which players using the latest PlayStation and Xbox devices will gather in one stadium.

Cross-play is an option that is becoming more and more popular in production, so the creators of Fify meet the expectations of the community and try to check the functionality. EA has announced the start of testing, thanks to which we will be able to participate in PS5 vs PS5. XSX | S.

“We want our players to communicate across multiple platforms, so we will be testing Multiplayer in online seasons and friendlies on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and Stadia at EA SPORTS FIFA 22 in the near future.”

The manufacturer and publisher planned tests in the game in three versions (PS5, XSX | S, Stadia), and for a good start, the novelty will be tested in two modes.

“Our test will be available in Online Seasons and Online Friendly Matches, which means you can play FIFA 22 with a friend on a different platform or face players on other platforms in Online Seasons (Divisions).”

FIFA 22 will have the option to enable or disable the cross-play option, so if you don’t intend to engage in clashes between users of different devices, you should forgo this option.

After enabling the multiplayer test in the main menu of FIFA 22, there is a widget in the lower right corner of the screen that can be opened with the appropriate button, as shown in the image below.

From this tool you can simply perform a command to enable or disable participation in the cross-play test. You do not need to do anything else. In this tool you can also search for friends regardless of what platform they are playing on, block and/or mute a person whether you want it.”

Let us remind you that at the end of February, rumors about the upcoming FIFA 23 game indicated that the developers are planning to offer a wide choice of cross-play between players of different platforms.
