AMD Ryzen 7000 - Reds Demonstrated New Generation Processor Achieving 5 GHz in Games on All CoresCES 2022 is one of the most important events of the year for fans of new technologies. Here and at Computex in Taiwan, manufacturers from all over the world offer their latest and most advanced equipment. Yesterday, the largest companies in the computer world held their conferences, namely AMD, Intel and NVIDIA. We will focus on the first of them, because during her long talk, Lisa Su revealed a lot of details about both graphics cards and processors. It seems that the next generation of AMD Ryzen systems will be able to boast very high clock speeds on all cores at once, which will be beneficial for both gaming and work.

AMD’s presentation indicates that the next generation of Ryzen 7000 processors may have high clock speeds and therefore extremely high performance.

True, we mentioned this earlier, but this information is worth posting separately. Yesterday, Lisa Su presented the capabilities of a typical processor from the AMD Ryzen 7000 family, which will be built on the Zen 4 architecture and equipped with AMD RDNA2 graphics chips. All were paired with a Reds reference motherboard, 2×16GB of DDR5 RAM clocked at 4800MHz and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card. Microsoft Windows version 11 22000.282 and Greens drivers number 472.12 were used. Everything has been tested in the popular game from 2021, such as Halo Infinite.

The exact number of FPS in the game is not specified, but Lisa Su described it as “high”. You can see for yourself in the video below. Most importantly, the AMD Ryzen 7000 processor prototype reached 5.0 GHz on all cores. This indicates that the maximum clock per core may be higher, and this bodes well for the future generation of AMD processors. However, it is worth noting that Intel also offered a Core i9-12900KS unit that can boast a clock speed of 5.2GHz on two cores.
