Another week is marked by doubles. Two Polish women flashed in one

Polish tennis players battled for another week for ranking points in the ITF World Tennis Tour competition. There were also notable results, especially in doubles.

Maja Chualinska and Wironica Valkoska went to the Estonian city of Habnem. The first was eliminated in the second round of individual elimination. On the other hand, Valkoska got into the main class and won duels with representatives of the United States. In the quarter-finals only she was stopped by Britain’s Katie Poulter (7:6, 6:4), who is trying to regain her spot in the top 100 in the WTA rankings after health issues.

Chwalińska showed a very good side in doubles. Together with Hungarian Adriann Nagy, she created a pair ranked number two and reached the final. American Jessica Faila and Japan’s Chihiro Muramatsu turned out to be better in the title match, finally winning 6:3, 6:4.

Aleksandra Jeleń decided to perform at a low profile ITF event this week and it turned out to be a good move. At Italy’s Solarino, the 19-year-old won two matches in the main event, including host tennis player Nicole Fossa Huergo, who finished fourth. In the quarter-finals, the winner was Polish 6:3, 6:2, highest-ranked Australian Alicia Smith.

Yann Wójcik has enjoyed his third doubles championship this season. This time he went to the Spanish city of Torello. Here he was victorious with Britain’s Jonathan Gray, and defeated Italian duo Marco Prognerotto and Luigi Sorrentino 3:6, 7:5, 10-5 in the final. The first representative of Italy turned out to be better than the pole in the second round of the single.

The rest of the Whites and the Reds did not shine this week. Sandro Szic did not qualify in Torello. In Antalya, Turkey, Olaf Bychkovsky lost in the first round of the single. Piotr Pawlak and Mateusz Terczyński quickly withdrew from the doubles competition in Saint Dizier, France. Jasza Szajrych lost in the qualifiers to compete at the Tunisian monastery, and Zoltan Szabo, Mateusz Kwakowski and Bogyg Sobolensky competed in Heraklion Greece without success.
