Preamble
when Formula One Mugello gave her first major prize, and no one expected Ferrari to hit his original track in such a mess. They haven’t scored any points in the last two races; Charles Leclerc is seventh in the championship and Sebastian Vettel is thirteenth. The team is sixth in the constructors’ ranking behind Racing Point and Renault. And when Vettel announced this week that he would sign Aston Martin from next season, he revealed that things had gone so bad at Ferrari that he was considering retiring.
But sport is not without hope, and on Saturday in the qualifiers, Leclerc injected the fans of the local team with a heavy dose of it. Monégasque will start its fifth Tuscan Grand Prix on the grid after exceeding all expectations and will have support in the stands, while allowing some fans to return for the first time this season. It’s also Ferrari’s 1000th race, of course, so what’s the price for an emotional return to the podium for a glamorous F1 team?
