Meeting of the Joint Advisory Committee on the education of the Polish national minority in Ukraine and the education of the Ukrainian national minority in Poland

Today is October 27 this year. MEiN Minister of Foreign Affairs Dariusz Piontkowski chaired the 4th meeting of the Joint Advisory Committee on Education of the Polish National Minority in Ukraine and Education of the Ukrainian National Minority in the Republic of Poland. The Ukrainian delegation was headed by Ms. Vera Rohova, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of Ukraine in Warsaw, the Polish national minority in Ukraine and the Ukrainian national minority in Poland.
The main topic of the meeting was the negotiation of a draft bilateral agreement on the education of national minorities. Moreover, the status and prospects for the development of education of national minorities, respectively Polish in Ukraine and Ukrainian in Poland, were discussed.
The Joint Advisory Committee on Education of the Polish National Minority in Ukraine and Education of the Ukrainian National Minority in the Republic of Poland was established under the agreement between the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Poland and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on cooperation in the field of education from 2015.
