Polish citizens can visit 182 countries and territories without a visa, according to the latest Henley Passport 2021 Index. Poland ranks 10th on the list, up one place compared to last year.

The Henley Passport Index is a rating that shows the “strength” of your passports. The research has been conducted since 2006.
According to the latest research, Poland ranks 10th in the ranking, to name a few, along with Slovakia and Lithuania. Poles can travel to 182 countries without a visa. In 2020, we were 11th, In turn, in 2006 only in sixteenth place.
The best and worst passports. European countries high
The leaders of the ranking are from Japan and Singapore. Citizens of these countries can count on visa-free entry to 192 countries. Germany and South Korea (190 countries) came second. Finland, Italy, Luxembourg and Spain (189 countries) are closing the platform.
As CNN notes, European passports are the most numerous in the top ten of the latter ranking, with German taking second place.
Afghanistan came last. Citizens of this country can enter 26 countries without a visa. Iraq (28 countries), Syria (29 countries), Pakistan (31 countries), Yemen (33 countries) and Somalia (34 countries) is not much better.
The study’s authors stress the “increasing inequality” among citizens of individual countries. They also noted that there are “strict restrictions” on crossing certain borders. However, the index does not take into account temporary restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Henley Passport Index is based on data provided by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). 199 different types of passports and 227 destinations were included in the study.
