The Dutch carrier responds to changes in travel restrictions on an ongoing basis. With strict US restrictions once again lifted, the airline will once again include flights to Las Vegas and Miami in its winter network.

In the early days of September this year. We have been informed of KLM’s decision to suspend the opening of flights to Orlando, Miami and Las Vegas. The carrier’s resignation was due to the tightening of entry regulations into the United States introduced by the Dutch government. Vaccinated Americans who arrived in the Netherlands had to undergo a mandatory 10-day quarantine and be tested for COVID-19 before travelling. The airline found this decision incomprehensible and harmful from the perspective of KLM’s interests.

However, the situation these days is changing like a kaleidoscope. Less than a month after imposing additional restrictions on Americans, the Dutch government decided to withdraw from the quarantine obligation imposed on arrivals from the United States, and KLM responded immediately by restoring its original plans for a winter flight schedule.

For now, KLM will return direct flights from Amsterdam Schiphol to Las Vegas and Miami. The fate of the new connection to Orlando is still unknown. Flights to Nevada and Florida will be operated three times a week using Boeing 787 Dreamliner wide-body aircraft. In total, during the winter season, the carrier will provide eleven routes from the capital of the Netherlands to the United States. In addition to the courses listed above, there are flights to Atlanta, Boston, Washington, Houston, New York JFK, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Chicago, and San Francisco.
