IKEA is celebrating by hosting its first 24-hour global festival on Thursday, September 16, 2021. Artists, designers, DJs, chefs and many other personalities will transform their homes into virtual scenes to “open the door to new experiences”.
During this time, the selected people will transform their living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and courtyards into virtual stages, where unique performances, discussions and experiences will take place. More than 100 homes in more than 50 countries around the world will be presented during the free festival.
The festival is inspired by IKEA’s vision to create a better everyday life for the many people. – It’s a new kind of experience that IKEA wants to provide by celebrating, connecting and engaging with life at home. Home tours around the world will open the door to new experiences and new inspiration. We want to start a conversation about a more sustainable and affordable home life in the future. And as with any festival, you should expect some surprises, says Erika Intiso, IKEA’s Managing Director of Marketing and Communications AB.
Broadcasting from Poland
The festival will be broadcast on IKEA.com/Festival and IKEA.us/Festival from 8am on September 16th. Thanks to it, interior design enthusiasts will find inspiration to remodel their homes and discover how IKEA designers and partners work in their unique spaces.
