Marketa Vondrosova (TEN 40) crushed 6:2, 6:0 Quinn Gleeson (WTA 467) in 61 minutes. The Czech player scored seven points out of nine to break the speed and took advantage of seven out of 11 opportunities to break the ball. Viktorija Golubić (WTA 45) returned with a 4-4 lead in the first set and beat Maria Camila Osorio Serrano (WTA 79) 7-6 (5), 6-3. Kristina Mladenovic (WTA 57) won 6-2 7-6 (3) Zarina Degas (WTA 110). Elise Cornet (WTA 68) won 6:7 (8), 6:0, 6:4 against Ann Lee (WTA 67). In the first set, the French missed four set pieces, two in the twelfth game and a tiebreak. In the second match, she gave her opponent only 11 points. In the decisive part, she jumped back to 4-0 and despite chasing the American, she didn’t allow herself to be kept away from the promotion. The match lasted two hours and 53 minutes. Rebecca Peterson (WTA 59) won 7:6 (9), 7:6 (3) with Marie Pozkova (WTA 86). The Swede saved four sets of balls in the first set tiebreak.
