US President Joe Biden said on Sunday he would press Russian President Vladimir Putin during his June meeting to respect human rights. Biden spoke on American Memorial Day.
“I will meet with President Putin in a few weeks in Geneva and I will make it clear that we will not allow him to violate these rights,” US President Joe Biden said during a speech marking US Memorial Day.
Memorial Day is an American public holiday celebrated on the last Monday in May, formerly known as Decoration Day. It commemorates American citizens who died while serving in the military.

US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet in Geneva on June 16, the White House said in a statement on Tuesday. In a press release, the Kremlin said the two leaders will discuss first of all the future of bilateral relations, the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, problems related to strategic nuclear stability and regional conflicts.
A meeting is scheduled between Biden and Putin. The date and place are given TVN24
