United States of America. Vaccinated Americans can remove their face masks in many places

The new guidelines still require masks to be worn in crowded, confined spaces like buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters. The CDC no longer recommends that fully vaccinated people wear masks outside, even in crowds of people.

CDC chief Rochelle Walinsky announced the new guidelines Thursday afternoon at a White House press conference. She explained that this is due to the millions of people who have been vaccinated, and that the CDC relies on the latest scientific research into the effectiveness of these vaccines. She pointed out that “if you are fully vaccinated, you can start doing the things you stopped doing because of the epidemic.”

Walinsky commented, “We’ve all waited a long time for the moment to return to normal.”

However, the CDC chief encouraged people with weakened immune systems, such as organ transplants or cancer treatments, to speak to their doctors before throwing away the masks. It is not certain that vaccines can boost a weakened immune system as much as they do for healthy people.

“The rule is simple now: get a vaccine or wear a muzzle until you do. The choice is yours,” President Joe Biden wrote on Twitter.

The Associated Press noted that loosening the instructions may lead to confusion as it will not be possible to distinguish between fully vaccinated and those who did not receive the preparation.

The vaccination campaign in America is starting to bear fruit. Findings of the virus are the lowest since September, and deaths – the lowest since last April, and a positive COVID-19 test – the lowest since the start of the pandemic.
