The North American Porsche Sprint from Yokohama is a new series of Porsche racing that will be held in the United States and Canada from 2021.

The Porsche Sprint North America Challenge from Yokohama will compete with single-brand racing cars at legendary racing facilities.

The first of the new racing series will take place this weekend from March 12-14, 2021 at the Sebring International Racecourse in Florida. It will last take place the weekend from October 15-17 at the famous and prestigious Indianapolis circuit. Seven of the eight weekends will count towards the series’ official stats, while the Mont-Tremblant races held August 12-15 will be an introduction to Canadian drivers only.

The new Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama series is open to anyone who wants to race in GT cars. It’s a clear first step from club racing to the next level of motorsport. The series is divided into three classes: Platinum for the Porsche 991.2 (2017-2020 Porsche GT3 Cup Gen 2), Gold for the Porsche 991.1 (2014-2016 Porsche 991 GT3 Cup Gen 1) and silver for the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport.

In recent years, Yokohama has supported several Porsche auto events in North America, including the delivery of tires for the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA, Porsche Pikes Peak Trophy and Porsche Sprint Trophy USA West. Yokohama was also a marketing and technical partner for five seasons of the Porsche GT3 Cup Canada Challenge.
